Learning From Our Mistakes: Moving Towards Sustainable Construction Practices
It is agreed that a shift needs to take place within the construction industry and property market in Malta towards a more sustainable future. Such a shift would ensure that we learn from past mistakes and that we improve the quality of future building stock, as well as the built environment in general.
The local construction industry is still rooted in its old mentalities. While many designers, developers and contractors have begun taking steps towards modernising their approach and their mentality towards construction technology, site management, stakeholder relationships and the surrounding environment, the general mentality still covets the way “it’s always been done”.
At the current rate, not much will be left for future generations to enjoy. Responsibility must be taken from the beginning and throughout the entire construction process: starting from the selections of projects chosen to undertake, how they are designed, built, as well as how building stock is managed.
Join us on Wednesday, 11th May 2022 at 18:00. During this free webinar, architect Marc Spiteri will be discussing good construction practices that can have a positive impact, and how we can avoid leaving a negative impact on the opportunity for future generations to sustain themselves.
