Economy and Sustainability

Sustainability is becoming a global trend in the modern world. For the moment, this idea developed into the global conception of humanity progress and well-being embracing economic growth, social responsibility, environmental concern, and new level governance approach. It determines the development priorities for businesses and industries, countries and territories, and the entire world and humanity. It means a leap to a post-industrial society, in which information resources, intangible assets, knowledge, creativity, and human capital become the key capital-forming factors that create an added value. In sustainability context, the transparent information environment is exceptionally substantial, embracing a wide scope of informational, financial, managerial practices and moving them: from management to green thinking, from reporting and audit – to sustainability assurance, from traditional funding – to responsible and impact investment, from accounting – to stability measurements, from analysis – to ESG scoring and predicative models. In our research we are trying to ensure this movement.

Education and Sustainability

Modern trends in education are closely related to the concept of sustainability, since they imply a high degree of return on investment in human capital, the environment creation for the expanded reproduction of knowledge, competencies, and qualities, affecting social progress and true values. Conducting research in this area, we follow the agenda of “few steps ahead” education system to improve a future map of professions and skills required in ESG landscape, develop new educational and training models, and contribute to humanity sustainable development.

Healthcare, digital technologies, engineering

We consider the key parameters for fruitful research in the modern scientific agenda are transdisciplinary, flexibility, and nonlinearity. Some our projects implementing are built on a combination of knowledge and research issues from various fields to achieve a synergistic effect and comprehensiveness of results. In particular, we intend to combine the capabilities and demands of a modern healthcare system with high engineering technologies and modern digital capabilities to achieve breakthrough solutions for the benefit of people and society

IDEA Doctoral School

IDEA College strives to create a stimulating and rewarding learning experience through the fusion of education and research that serves the aspirations of the learners and inspires them to enrich the community, and society in general.

Research practices accompany all stages of the formation of professional competencies during doctoral education, being a key driver in the critical and creative thinking development, deep vision of issues and the search for ways to advance scientific knowledge and improve practice.

The Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) is a Doctoral Journey intended for high level practitioners in leadership and/or management positions in the various fields (e.g. business, education, finance, etc.), who have a particular interest in business innovation in general, or who are interested in embarking onto an academic career.

Throughout the Doctoral Journey you will be provided with opportunities not only to extend your knowledge and critical thinking but also to enhance your research abilities to influence your professional behaviour, as well as the context in which you operate. The DBA comprises three main developmental phases towards achieving a Doctorate. The first phase is a taught stage taking the classical didactic approach accompanied by enhanced independent self-study and research. In the second phase, you will be mentored through the processes of selecting a specific area of research, defining a research gap, and formulating a research question as part of your individual research proposal, which will be carried through to Phase three of the DBA. The third phase is more student-driven where research skills and scholarly writing, encompassing critical thinking, analysis, and reflection, are put into practice, and further enhanced with the support of assigned tutors, as you commence your research and write a Doctoral thesis.
