Module Description

This module will provide participants with the regulatory knowledge necessary for the operation of international commercial air services starting from the traditional Chicago Convention regime, followed by the EU’s aviation acquis.

The interpretation and analysis of these regulations contribute substantially towards the planning of an airline’s route network. Insight will also be given to the liberalisation of air transport beyond the EU and to EU third country policy in this regard.  In particular reference will be made to the United States and to a number of Area Agreements.  It is through the understanding of how deregulation has been brought about, its effects and current developments that an airline may maximise on its route network planning.
