Design to Sell, Make and Rethink

Module Description

This module focuses on the modern approach in today’s industry of how a visionary organisation leads the market by thinking beyond the norm. How achieving an economic transition to more equitable, ecological and sustainable societies require a design revolution.

We will be assessing how to design a successful product, source responsibly, carry out a lean process for manufacturing or development, deliver a certified final product as well as re-think the end-of-life management of the product after its useful life time.

Entry Requirements

Candidates who apply for this course must possess the following:

• a qualification at MQF Level 4 (one ‘A’ Level or equivalent in any subject),

AND

• a pass in English and Mathematics at MQF Level 3 (‘O’ Level or equivalent) .

Preference is given to applicants having a year of work experience related to the field of study.

*Equivalent qualifications abroad will also be considered for admission.

How you’ll be assessed

The course comprises:  

• 6 lectures per module; 
• 3-hour lectures (evening); 
• 12 hours of online content per module, comprising synchronous online discussions, tutorials and/or videos.
