Module Description

This module provides you with a comprehensive in-depth background of the specific types of risk, along with a sound knowledge of financial securities portfolios, with specific reference to stocks and bonds.  

It will equip you with the tools for calculating the risk of stocks and bonds, and present ways of how an overall risk can be mitigated without giving up return. Other aspects that will be explored include the concept of rationality in relation to financial derivatives, as well as specific specialised risk management techniques. 

Entry Requirements

Candidates who apply for this course must possess one of the following: 

  • Level 6 degree in a related field;  

 

OR  

  • Level 5 diploma or higher diploma in a discipline related to finance or equivalent, and 5 years’ work experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the sector. 

 

Preference is given to applicants having a Level 6 degree in a discipline related to finance and a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in management within the sector.
