Module Description

This module covers three distinctive areas: i. ethics, ii. rights and responsibilities of carers, and iii. legal aspects related to elderly care.

Its aim is to equip you with the knowledge of these three areas, coupled with a basic understanding of how and if these areas interconnect.

This module focuses on the Maltese legislation related to the sector.

Entry Requirements

Candidates who apply must be in possession of at least one of the following:

 

  • a pass in English Language and Mathematics;

OR

  • an MQF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (‘O’ Level or equivalent).

Target Audience

This course is targeted at:

  • candidates seeking a career and a formal qualification in elderly care;
  • candidates who wish to progress in their studies along the Further and Higher Education route, whilst broadening their chances of advancing in their own career path.
